Finally finished my cardigan! Got the pattern free from Drops Designs and the wool was under £10 from Amazon!
For Christmas I got some really lovely craft supplies from my grandparents, like a knitting bag to keep my clutter in, a stitch holder, some needles for wool and these lovely fabrics (all available at Hobbycraft!). I was in need of a new pincushion so I used some of the fabric to make one. I'm a fan of cupcakes (making and eating!) so I looked it up on Pinterest for inspiration. There are loads of free patterns on there, so go and check it out if you're interested! Also, I've got a board dedicated to nice projects like this - Things To Make - so have a look at that while you're at it. You can find my Pinterest at the top of the page, as well as my email if you want to get in touch. I made these two a few months back and I put them on my Christmas tree, where they look very nice! They were bought Amsterdam, but you can get them on www.dewitteengel.nl They were very easy to make and only took a few hours each. The pattern is in Deutch, German and English and the kit comes with all the pieces needed. Please send me the results! Just finished this cable blanket. I started it two years ago but only just had the idea of sewing the individual pieces to fabric to maintain it's shape. If you would like to get the pattern, I got it from The Knitting And Crochet Bible, by Claire Crompton and Sue Whiting. It's really simple to make and I made it with no cable knowledge. The ISBN code is 978-0-7153-3280-1 and it's £13.99 on Amazon. Please send me the results! I had an idea this weekend for a future business plan. I would have some basics that I would sell in basic colours as well as some accessories like purses or pencil cases etc. Then I would have a service where you could get something replicated if, for example, you couldn't afford it or it wasn't quite right. There would also be a repairs service. As I really enjoy writing I would try to maybe write an article in a magazine too to make some extra money. Please let me know what you think of this idea and the sketches I made of the basic clothing, and if you would ever buy something like that. Thanks! I have been busy making boards on pinterest, which include fashion, my interests and things to make. If you are interested in having a look, check out my profile in the link at the top of the page. You can also find my Facebook, email and youtube there, if you want to get in touch or see what i do.
Yesterday, I completed this adorable crocheted unicorn, from despicable me! My next project is a cable cardigan, however i have to order the wool, so while i'm waiting for it to arrive, I am busying myself with crochet and sewing patterns. To find my favourite ones, along with free patterns, check out my Pinterest page, in the link at the top of the page, where i have also got boards on dresses, awesome shoes, casual outfits, accessories, sweatshirts and fancy outfits!
Yesterday, I had my first show, in London fashion week! Although it was very stressful and hot, it was a great experience and i got to meet lots of new people. I was very pleased with my collection, but i was very nervous, because it was in front of a lot of people and it was being broadcasted to thousands of people. To see the collection in more detail, go to videos, or collections, where you will be able to see sketches and photos.
Today, an article in 'the newham recorder' has been published on the opportunity i have been given and all details on the show!
